 BP to Sell Venezuela and Vietnam Businesses to TNK-BP for a total of $1.8 billion. TNK-BP, Russia's third largest oil company, is owned equally by BP and the AAR Consortium (comprising Alfa Group, Access Industries and Renova). The agreement includes BP's interests in the Petroperijá, Boquerón and PetroMonagas joint ventures in Venezuela and, in Vietnam, BP's 35 per cent operating interest in the Lan Tay and Lan Do gas fields and associated pipeline and power generation interests. The sales are part of BP's plan, announced in July 2010, to make divestments of up to $30 billion by the end of 2011.

 E.ON Ruhrgas becomes new shareholder in Trans Adriatic Pipeline. The new shareholder structure of the Trans Adriatic Pipeline project now comprises of EGL holding a 42.5% share, Statoil holding a 42.5% share and the new partner E.ON Ruhrgas holding 15%.

 Eni CEO Paolo Scaroni meets Turkey's Energy Minister Taner Yildiz and Russia's Deputy Prime Minister Igor Sechin in Ankara, to discuss further development of the Samsun-Ceyhan oil pipeline between Turkey's Black Sea coast and its Mediterranean coast. The Samsun-Ceyhan pipeline will facilitate safer transport across the Bosphorus and Dardanelles Straits.

 Statoil has concluded an agreement for the transportation of gas through a pipeline from the Northern Marcellus shale gas area in Pennsylvania (PA) to Niagara at the US-Canadian border. Transportation agreement with National Fuel Gas Supply Corporation, securing Statoil the right to transport up to 3.2 billion cubic metres (bcm) per year/320 000 mcf/day of gas through an interstate pipeline.

 Eni and Gazprom meet on South Stream and upstream projects. Intention to complete the feasibility study of the off shore section. Eni and Gazprom also confirmed their support to EdF entry into the project and committed to starting negotiations with EdF. Eni and Gazprom have agreed on the terms of Gazprom's entry into the Elephant project in Libya. First production at the Samburskoye field is confirmed for 2011. Plateau production of 150,000 boepd is expected within two years of start-up.

 Petroplus Holdings announced that its investment vehicle, PBF Energy Partners, LP, entered into an agreement to acquire the 190,000 barrel per day Delaware City refinery, terminal and pipeline assets plus the 218 MW Power Plant Complex from Valero Energy Corporation. The purchase price consists of $170 million for the idled refinery and related assets and an additional $50 million for the Power Plant Complex.

 Statoil’s US subsidiary Statoil Natural Gas (SNG) has concluded transportation agreements with Tennessee Gas Pipeline (a subsidiary of El Paso Corp), and Texas Eastern Transmission (a subsidiary of Spectra Energy Corp), ensuring Statoil the right to transport up to 2 billion cubic metres (bcm) per year/200 000 mcf/day directly from the Northern Marcellus production area to New York City and the surrounding areas.

 The Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil export pipeline, operated by BP, has today started loading the 1000th cargo of oil transported from the Sangachal terminal near Baku across Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey to Ceyhan. The oil transported via BTC to world markets mainly comes from the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) and Shah Deniz fields in the Azerbaijan sector of the Caspian Sea.

 BP announced that it has divested its interest in Kazakhstan's Tengiz oil field and the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) pipeline, carrying oil between Kazakhstan and Russia, by selling its 46 per cent stake in LUKARCO to Russia’s LUKOIL. LUKOIL, which already owns 54 per cent of LUKARCO, will pay $1.6 billion in cash in three instalments over the next two years. A $43 million BP loan will also be repaid to BP by LUKARCO.
