 Shell reduces its interest in Woodside; underwriting agreement with UBS AG, for the sale of 78.34 million shares in Woodside, representing 29.18% of its interest in Woodside and 10.0% of the issued capital in Woodside at a price of A$42.23 per share. "we will increasingly focus our investment in Australia through direct interests in assets and joint ventures, rather than indirect stakes."

 Gazprom and SOCAR sign addendum to Azerbaijani gas purchase and sale contract. Pursuant to the addendum, the annual volumes of gas purchase will grow to 2 billion cubic meters starting from 2011 and to more than 2 billion cubic meters from 2012.

 BP Agrees to Sell Colombian Business to Ecopetrol and Talisman to a consortium of Ecopetrol, Colombia's national oil company (51 per cent), and Talisman of Canada (49 per cent). The two companies will pay BP a total of $1.9 billion in cash, subject to customary post-completion price adjustments. The sale of the Colombian business is part of BP's plan, announced on July 27, to divest up to $30 billion of assets over the next 18 months.

 Protocol on contributions by Beltransgaz to Belarusian Innovation Fund and Addendum to gas supply and transit contract for 2007–2011 signed. Due to the fact that the Belarusian party raised the 2010 wholesale markup for the gas sold by Beltransgaz to USD 11.09, as it was agreed on when Gazprom was purchasing a stake in the company, the rate for Russian gas transit via Beltransgaz owned networks will be equal to USD 1.88 per 100 kilometers in 2010.

 Russia-Belarus gas dispute: Commission strongly concerned about gas cuts in Lithuania. Lithuanian authorities confirmed that Russian gas supplies via Belarus decreased by around 50 percent on 23 June. 6.25 percent of gas consumed in the EU is delivered via Belarus and could potentially be affected by the dispute.

 Gas supply issue. Russia – Belarus. Comment on payment for gas supplied in May. The amount of payment is USD 260.134 million. At the same time, Beltransgaz must promptly repay the amount in arrears, which is USD 192 million, for the period of Russian gas deliveries to Belarus from the beginning of 2010.
