 Eni achieves key production milestone in the Zubair field, in Iraq. The Zubair field production rate has increased from approximately 183,000 barrels of oil per day, the initial production rate on the TSC effective date of 18 February 2010, to a sustained rate of appreciably over 201,000 barrels of oil per day (the minimum required production rate to trigger cost recovery)

 Alexey Miller and Marcel Kramer discuss progress of the South Stream project. The projected throughput capacity of the South Stream offshore section will reach a total of 63 billion cubic meters per year. The first line of the South Stream project is planned to become operational by late 2015.

 Eni drills another successful well at the giant Perla field, offshore Venezuela. This well confirms Perla as a world-class supergiant gas discovery, one of the most significant in recent years and the largest ever in Venezuela, upgrading current estimates of gas in place to over 14 Tcf (2.5 billion barrels of oil equivalent).

 BP announced that it has reached agreement to sell its recently-acquired interests in four mature producing deepwater oil and gas fields in the US Gulf of Mexico to Marubeni Oil and Gas for $650 million. BP acquired the interests in the fields - Magnolia, Merganser, Nansen and Zia - from Devon Energy earlier in 2010 as part of a wider acquisition of assets in the Gulf of Mexico, Brazil and Azerbaijan.

 Statoil is strengthening and diversifying its US onshore portfolio by entering the Eagle Ford shale area. Statoil and Talisman have formed a 50/50 joint venture for the purpose of developing assets in the Eagle Ford shale. As part of the joint venture, Statoil and Talisman have jointly acquired the Eagle Ford assets of Enduring, comprising 97,000 acres (48,500 net to Statoil), in a $1.325 billion transaction. Furthermore, Statoil will acquire 50% of Talisman’s existing Eagle Ford acreage and production for $180 million (18,500 acres net to Statoil).

 Halliburton recently performed the first-ever, shale hydraulic fracturing operation in Poland for PGNiG, the state-owned Polish oil and gas company. PGNiG contracted Halliburton to fracture the Markowola-1 exploratory well near Kozienice, Lublin province, to determine if the site contained commercial gas deposits.

 Eni starts up onshore oil production from Arcadia field in Egypt, located in the historical Meleiha Concession. To fully develop the new discovery, four more wells will be drilled in 2010 and 2011, to produce up to approximately 3000 boe/day.

 Eni in Azerbaijan to discuss CNG transport. The topics discussed included a possible come back of Eni to the upstream sector in Azerbaijan and the CNG (compressed natural gas) project, a plan that would permit the transport and transit of several billion cubic meters of Turkmen gas across the Caspian Sea to the coast of Azerbaijan, from where it would be transported through an overland pipeline to other destinations.

 Eni starts up offshore gas production from the Tuna field in Egypt; The field will produce 4.5 million scm/day of gas which will contribute about 8,500 boe/day to Eni's equity share production. Eni owns a 50% participating interest of the Temsah concession through its fully owned affiliate IEOC, with the remaining 50% owned by BP.
