 E.ON Ruhrgas becomes new shareholder in Trans Adriatic Pipeline. The new shareholder structure of the Trans Adriatic Pipeline project now comprises of EGL holding a 42.5% share, Statoil holding a 42.5% share and the new partner E.ON Ruhrgas holding 15%.

 Eni CEO Paolo Scaroni meets Turkey's Energy Minister Taner Yildiz and Russia's Deputy Prime Minister Igor Sechin in Ankara, to discuss further development of the Samsun-Ceyhan oil pipeline between Turkey's Black Sea coast and its Mediterranean coast. The Samsun-Ceyhan pipeline will facilitate safer transport across the Bosphorus and Dardanelles Straits.

 Eni and Gazprom meet on South Stream and upstream projects. Intention to complete the feasibility study of the off shore section. Eni and Gazprom also confirmed their support to EdF entry into the project and committed to starting negotiations with EdF. Eni and Gazprom have agreed on the terms of Gazprom's entry into the Elephant project in Libya. First production at the Samburskoye field is confirmed for 2011. Plateau production of 150,000 boepd is expected within two years of start-up.

 Ministry of Environmental Protection published the Decision that the project of construction of the liquefied natural gas terminal (LNG terminal) on the Island of Krk is acceptable for the environment. During the first phase, the yearly regasification capacity at the LNG terminal will be 10 billion cubic meters of natural gas. In the final stage the total capacity will reach 15 bcm per year. The value of the investment is estimated at 800 million Euros, and together with the construction of the pipelines, it will exceed one billion Euros.

 Eni presents a proposal to the European Commission for remedies related to its international gas pipelines. With prior agreement from its partners, Eni has committed to dispose of its interests in both the German Tenp gas pipeline and in Switzerland's Transitgas pipeline.

 Italy, Russia and Turkey sign joint agreement on Samsun-Ceyhan oil pipeline. Eni has been heavily involved in the oil pipeline project since 2005 and will play a leading role in its realization. In 2006, Eni bought 50% of Trans Anadolu Pipeline Company (TAPCO), the company designed for the realization and management of the Samsun Ceyhan pipeline.

 Eni and Enel complete sale to Gazprom of 51% of SeverEnergia. Gazprom will pay approximately 1.6 billion US dollars. SeverEnergia owns 100% of Arcticgaz, Urengoil and Neftegaztechnologia. These companies own licences for the exploration and production of hydrocarbons with overall oil and gas reserves estimated at 5 billion barrels of oil equivalent.

 First LNG cargo arrives at Adriatic LNG regasification Terminal (8 Bcmy) located offshore of Porto Levante, Italy. Adriatic LNG is a company owned by Qatar Terminal Limited a Qatar Petroleum (QP) subsidiary (45%), ExxonMobil Italiana Gas (45%) and Edison (10%).
