 Rumaila Exceeds 10% Improved Production Target. he Rumaila Operating Organisation (ROO) has met a major milestone in the re-development of the super-giant field in Southern Iraq by increasing production by more than 10 per cent above the 1.066 million barrels a day (b/d) initial production rate agreed in December 2009.

 Eni achieves key production milestone in the Zubair field, in Iraq. The Zubair field production rate has increased from approximately 183,000 barrels of oil per day, the initial production rate on the TSC effective date of 18 February 2010, to a sustained rate of appreciably over 201,000 barrels of oil per day (the minimum required production rate to trigger cost recovery)

 ConocoPhillips announces first LNG shipment from Qatargas 3 project (QG3). The cargo departed from Ras Laffan Industrial City, Qatar, bound for the Canaport LNG Terminal in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada.

 BP Suspends Production from Rhum Gas Field, pending clarification from the UK Government on certain aspects of the new EU Regulations concerning restrictive measures against Iran. Rhum Gas is owned by BP (50%) and the Iranian Oil Company (50%).

 RasGas makes landmark entry into Portugal. The spot sale cargo was delivered today to an affiliate of Galp Energia SPGS, S.A., at the Sines LNG Terminal in Portugal, from the LNG tanker Al Deebel.

 Halliburton has been awarded a letter of intent by Shell Iraq Petroleum Development B.V. for the development of the Majnoon field in Southern Iraq. Shell is lead operator and holds a 45 percent share, partner Petroliam Nasional Berhad (Petronas) holds 30 percent and the Iraqi state holds 25 percent of the participating interests in all licenses. Shell has announced that the consortium intends to increase production from the current ~45,000 barrels of oil per day to a targeted production plateau of 1.8 million barrels of oil per day.

 RasGas supplies first Qatari LNG to Brazil. The LNG cargo was loaded on to the Express, Petrobras' short-term chartered LNG vessel, at Ras Laffan Port in northern Qatar, and is bound for either Pecem LNG Terminal in the north-eastern state of Ceara or Guanabara Bay LNG Terminal in Rio de Janeiro.

 SAUDI ARAMCO TOTAL Refining and Petrochemical Company (SATORP; 62.5% owned by Saudi Aramco and 37.5% owned by TOTAL) completes US$8.5 Billion project financing for Jubail Refinery. The full-conversion refinery will maximize production of diesel and jet fuels and will also produce 700,000 metric tons per year (t/y) of paraxylene, 140,000 t/y of benzene and 200,000 t/y of polymer-grade propylene.
