 Apache acquires 51% stake and reserves throughput capacity in Canada’s Kitimat LNG project. The proposed Kitimat project, located at Bish Cove near the Port of Kitimat about 405 miles (652 kilometres) north of Vancouver, has planned capacity of about 700 MMcf of natural gas per day, or five million metric tons of LNG per year.

 Canadian Superior Energy Inc. Announces Participation in the proposed development of a $550 million LNG regasification project, entitled "Liberty Natural Gas", in US federal waters offshore New Jersey. (Excalibur Energy (USA) a 50/50 joint venture between Canadian Superior and Global LNG). The proposed project will begin delivery of up to 2.4 billion cubic feet per day of natural gas by late 2011.
